Crantock Lodge is a private residential care home situated in Porth, Cornwall.

We meet all of the standards required by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and have a reputation for being one of the best care homes in Cornwall.

As well as looking after your personal care needs, we pride ourselves on our warm, friendly, stimulating environment. We really do care about each of our residents and do everything we can to promote your independence, giving you a fulfilling lifestyle that is flexible and adapted to suit your individual needs.

The home & surroundings

Many of our residents say they knew Crantock Lodge was the place for them as soon as they drove up to our care home, in a quiet residential spot in Porth, Newquay.

Our home is a dormer bungalow and people tell us it’s just like a family home, with lounge, separate dining room and the kitchen at its heart. Many of our rooms have direct views of the sea and the surrounding north Cornish coastline. Rooms are on two floors serviced by both a lift and a stair lift system. You can enjoy time outdoors in our lovely sunny, south-facing garden and take in some fresh sea air. Crantock Lodge is situated on level ground within a few hundred yards of Chester Road shopping complex, which includes Banks, Chemist, Post Office, Hairdressers, Newsagent, Cake Shop, Cafe and a Market!

Your room

We want our residents to feel completely at home at Crantock Lodge – your room can be redecorated to suit your taste and you can bring your own furniture, TV and anything else you would like! We can even arrange for your own phone line and broadband internet connection if necessary.

Each of our seventeen rooms has an en-suite toilet and wash hand basin, double-glazing and thermostatically controlled gas fired central heating. There are additional bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets on each floor. You don’t have to worry about cleaning – your room will be kept clean and tidy by our cleaner and you can advise staff of any other items you need such as shopping, clothes, newspapers, toiletries, etc. to ensure that you always have a good supply of whatever you need. We’ll also do your clothes washing and ironing and return everything to your room.

Activities

We have a programme of regular activities at Crantock Lodge, such as craft-making and visiting entertainers, so there’s always something to do, but only if you want to.
